SUMMARY:Precinct Delegate Forms Due
DESCRIPTION:In Michigan, the basic political office is a precinct delegate. Each geographic voting precinct of a thousand or so voters (sample map attached) has an allotted number of a few delegates that are filled for two-year terms. In each political party, precinct delegate conventions are held locally, usually at the county level, to vote to elect delegates to their party's state convention. There will be one in August right after the primary election to nominate November 2020 important party candidates for state office, Supreme court and the trustees/regents for UM, MSU, and Wayne State.

A majority of precinct delegates focused on integrity and qualifications are necessary to stop politics as usual. In many precincts, you may be running unopposed and can be a part of draining the swamp locally.

Attached is the form you need to file by 4:00pm on May 5, 2020. It must be notarized when signed. Banks can notarize. After being completed, It can be scanned or photographed to be emailed to the Kent county clerk's office at gerrid.uzarski@kentcountymi.gov. Let me know if you need help with finding a notary.
